At Glambou, we take our responsibility towards society and the planet seriously. We are aware that 100% sustainable jewelry remains a challenge. However, we are determined to do our part to change the industry and minimise our environmental impact.
With this in mind, we have launched the Glampower program, which aims to continuously reduce our environmental footprint and develop innovative solutions to make a positive impact in our network too.
It is important to us at Glambou and our network of designers to offer high-quality jewelry that is produced in a resource-conserving way and gives our customers long-lasting enjoyment.
Sustainability at Glambou
Material sourcing
Back in 2021, we made a conscious decision to use recycled sterling silver as the base material for our own jewelry collections whenever possible. All of our own-brand designs are now made from 100% recycled sterling silver. We do the same with the diamonds for our Juuls & Karats brand, which all come from conflict-free sources.
When it comes to which designers and other brands we work with, we make sure we have a common line that reflects our values in the best possible way.
Sustainable packaging
All of our paper-based packaging elements are already FSC or FSC Mix certified. In addition, we have introduced recycled solutions for other packaging components wherever possible. For example, the loops on our carrier bags are made from recycled polyester.
Longevity and quality
We want our customers to enjoy our jewelry for as long as possible. That's why we choose the jewelry we offer extremely carefully and place great emphasis on quality. This inherent longevity offers greater value to our customers and means a more sustainable choice by reducing waste and promoting resource efficiency.
Diversity in the team
In our team, we value diversity as one of our strengths. We firmly believe that different backgrounds, perspectives and experiences play an important role in generating innovative ideas and creating an inspiring working environment. We are proud to have a team representing over 10 different nationalities and a management team that is 67% female. We will continue to lead by example and ensure that every voice is heard and valued.
